Thank you to Kalm’s Quilting and Fabric for hosting one of our quilts and ATB the other, as well as, selling raffle tickets for us. It is appreciated! The quilt at ATB has been moved to The Steaming Cup. Both quilts are now on display at Kalm’s Quilting and Fabric until the draw date.

Fall Virtual Community Memorial Service

September 19, 2021 at 2 P.M.

Prairie Rose Hospice Palliative Care Society will be presenting an online non-denominational Memorial Service in memory of the loss of your loved one(s) who passed away between January 1st, 2021 and June 30th, 2021. The names of the honorees were copied from the Obituaries published in the Brooks Bulletin.

Please join us in lighting a candle, at your home, in honor of the loss of loved ones in our community and facilities. Watch the full service here:

Comfort Bags

PRHPCS Comfort bags are now available for all palliative care clients. The team leads on each unit at the hospital in Brooks and Bassano, as well as, the Palliative Care Resource Nurse, have the form to fill out for these pre-made comfort bags.

Prairie Rose would like to thank our volunteer Directors for their continued volunteering during covid-19 restrictions to keep our Society goals going for our clients and their families in Brooks, Bassano Hospital and the area.

To be a PRHPCS Volunteer:

  • Generosity, a willingness to give your time to others
  • Understanding, because their lives might be very different from your own
  • Empathy, an ability to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and feel what they must feel
  • Compassion, to truly care about making someone else’s life better
  • Patience, because the process doesn’t always go as smoothly as it might
  • Dedication, to stick with the project and see it through
